Travis is the founder and president of C4 Practice Services, a consulting firm focused on the Patient Experience for both dental and medical practices. For more than 20 years Travis has been teaching, writing, speaking and consulting with small businesses and government entities, with a focus in the last decade within the dental and medical professions. Travis holds undergraduate degrees in health education and athletic training, with advanced degrees in leadership and administration, and is formally Disney trained. He earned his undergraduate degree in Pre-Health Professional Biology/Biochemistry from Brigham Young University- Hawaii in 2006 and a Master’s of Health Science with an emphasis in Health Service Leadership from Boise State University in 2011. As a graduate student he worked for the Center for Health Policy focusing on current issues affecting rural healthcare and was a contributing author for a study published in a peer reviewed journal dealing with healthcare workforce planning. His professional interest include healthcare education, healthcare workforce planning in rural areas, and strategic business planning. He enjoys working in healthcare because of its continuously changing landscape and the naturally caring people that gravitate to the industry.
An Idaho native, she has 24 years experience in the dental field. Laurie graduated in 1988 from the American Institute of Health Technology. She worked as a Dental Assistant for the first 13 years and for the last 11 years her role has been that of a Dental Office manager. Laurie has truely enjoyed her years in the Dental field and looks forward helping her students ACHIEVE their goal as a dental assistant.
Shaun Christensen, DMD
Dr. Christensen was born and raised in Idaho Falls, ID. He learned to speak Spanish fluently while serving a two-year church mission to San Antonio, TX. He graduated from Ricks College (now BYU Idaho) in Rexburg, ID and then attended Weber State University in Ogden, UT and Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID before attending dental school in Portland, OR. He received his DMD from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1998. He then attended a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency with the U.S. Army at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He then served three years as a dentist for the U.S. Army in Germany. He moved to Nampa in 2002, and purchased a dental practice in 2003. Dr. Christensen was the owner of Holly Dental Care in Nampa from 2003-2010. He moved his practice in 2010 and re-named it Middle Creek Dental. Dr. Christensen also has hospital privileges at St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa and Southern Idaho Surgery Center in Meridian. Dr. Christensen is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. He is the secretary of the Western Treasure Valley Dental Society, the local component of the Idaho State Dental Association and American Dental Association. Dr. Christensen employes two other dentists in his practice, and appreciates the opportunity to be a mentor to younger dentists. He has had the opportunity to provide internship and externship training to numerous students in dental assisting at his private offices. He and his wife have four children.
